Since finishing the previous record ’Bring Out Your Dead’ we had in mind that we meant for the following era of Elysion to be moreactive, extroverted, closer to our listeners, bigger and better than ever.
‘Identity’ is not a concept album but,as always,it falls under an overall specific atmosphere throughout, which this time is 100% dedicated to our fans.
It features the well-known by now Elysion musical stigma but seriously enhanced with a new approach, for our first time ever .
It is totally representative of who are today, 20 years since people first put their trust in our songs, but also a heartfelt dedication to the entire hard Rock audience everywhere in the world, since we feel there is a strong element of unity among metallers that goes way deeper than just music tastes.
We consider this fourth album to be the most mature work to date, by far, the most intense in terms of the work we put in to achieve the final result but also the most daring one we have ever released.
It is true to our roots but taking things many steps further, hoping our loyal friends but also new listeners will welcome the outcome.
We have tried our very best to turn everything up to the maximum for this album, so we like to informally say that ‘if you love Elysion, Identity is Elysion on steroids’, thus humoring the intensity of every aspect in this album.
Overall hidden meaning, in a world that keeps changing, many times for the worse, we are summoning every friend who feels close to us in a call for unity under the common elements that Rock music has gifted as with.
We are certain that a careful listen to the album and lyrics, very thoroughly put together as well, will pass the meaning around and speak louder than any info we can provide.
This is who Elysion are today, this is what we’ve been through for over 20 years, this is how we want to thank everyone for standing by our side, this is our Identity.
