On the basis of numerous accounts of the phenomenon from the middle of the 5 th century B.C.E.
until the middle of the 6 th century C.E., the author describes the astronomical occurrences of the moon eclipse and its total eclipse during so called interlunium, which was perceived by some contemporaries as the result of magi’s and witches’ acts.
